How to Develop Positive Body Language


When you converse every part of your body participates in that conversation and says a lot about your whole attitude. Sometimes your body language emphasizes on the words that you are saying. So, if you have a positive body language it will help you achieving your goal even faster. No matter if you are trying impress a hot girl or your boss positive body language is a big asset. It adds to your personality and makes people like you even more. You can develop one in case you don’t already have it. We will tell you how.

Eyes

Also maintain eye contact with the person you are talking to. However, there is a difference between steady eye contact and staring. Staring can mean aggression so, shift your eyes in between conversation and then resume eye contacts. Just don’t make the shift too sudden or too long. Eye contacts tell the speaker that you are listening to him or her. You should avoid scowling.

Smiling Power

Your smile can really disarm your enemies. Keep smiling. Smiling also reflects an optimistic outlook and tells others that you are a nice person to converse with. Your smile will encourage the speaker to talk to you. This is a good weapon to win a date. Your smile will also create positive impression on your interviewers.

 Hand Gestures

Certain hand movements are also noted as being positive. You should keep your hands visible to the speaker. This is to tell the other person that you are trustworthy. Do not stand in akimbo or folding your arms in front of your chest. Whereas the first one is an aggressive gesture the second one is a defensive one. Do not keep your hands in the pocket. If someone is talking to you then you should not play with other objects in front of you. This will only mean that you are not interested in the conversation. You should also not touch your face too much this can project you as a deceptive person.

Head

An erect head means a confident person. Try to develop this head posture. Everybody likes to stay in the company of a confident person, because he or she gives the feel of security to others.

The Right Walk

Don’t walk too fast or too slow. Though we have different pace of walking but it is better if you can keep it brisk. This is another positive sign signifying your confidence level.

Sitting

Sit straight. Your spine should be on a 90-degree angle with your lower half of the body. This is a suggestion that you should not forget while attending a meeting or an interview. This particular posture will improve your confidence level. Do not slouch.

Leg Postures

Never dangle your legs while conversing. Your feet should also remain firmly placed on the ground. Crossed legs mean either a defensive attitude or a lack of interest.
The tips of developing a positive body language is simple but its effect is immense. Pay heed to your gestures and you will never be sorry.
